Wheel bearing problems?
First off, I don’t want any comments on my mechanic. About January, I hit a big hole on the freeway going back to college and my bearing broke, messed up the entire brake drum. I had the bearing, the whole break drum replaced. The bearing kept going out. Here its almost july and I have had the same bearing go out and be replaced 7 times. I’ve replaced the spindle and everything. Here I am, the 8th time replacing this bearing. Any other suggestions to what might be causing this 8 times in 6 months? (No I have no had to pay for all those bearings, warrenty is awesome.) Any ideas would be helpful. (2001 ford focus)
What you are describing sounds impossible, even cheap bearings shouldn’t fail that many times. Either he’s doing something wrong, or has not identified the problem, like a bent CV Shaft.
